About This Plant

Sun/part shade. Nearly evergreen and extremely ornamental, with bright spikes of small golden-yellow flowers from late spring through fall. Thryallis makes an easy specimen or hedge in sun or shade, even in dry soils, as long as the soil is deep enough. Deer do not prefer it, and it’s drought resistant.

Maintenance

May appreciate supplemental water in summer. Can be left unpruned for a dense airy shrub. Trim back as needed after damaging freezes.
