About This Plant
Sun/part shade. Sedums are a huge group of succulent plants that store water in fleshy leaves. Well-suited for pots, rock gardens, fairy gardens, perennial borders, or groundcovers, they generally tolerate poor or dry soil, heat and drought — although some protection from the sun can help them to last longer.
With nearly 500 species in the genus Crassulacea, many leaf shapes and flower colors are available, with a wide range of growing requirements.
Maintenance
Many varieties are short-lived. Expect some water in full sun; protect tender varieties from full scorch and from freezing precipitation.
