About This Plant
Sun or partial shade. A big, purple crinum lily for moist (but not wet) soil. It produces magenta-colored flowers in mid-summer to late fall, but these are often overlooked because the leaves themselves are so spectacular.
Crinum is considered deer-resistant, but might more accurately be described as “not preferred” — it may be eaten to the ground in the absence of other foods.
Maintenance
Removal of dead material as needed. Tubers can be divided and spread through the landscape.
