About This Plant
An unobtrusive vine whose small flowers bear a curiously shiny pearl-like center. Often found growing in shaded settings around live oaks and Texas persimmon. Seed pods develop in summer, covered with interesting fleshy spikes. This native is not widely available in plant nurseries but if you have it on your property save it.
Maintenance
This is a very low maintenance vine. Pearl Milkweed dies back to the ground every winter, and the senescent vegetation quickly biodegrades.
