About This Plant
A heat-tolerant bulb with clusters of white or cream-colored flowers. Planted in autumn in a well-drained setting, it should be flowering by February or very early spring. Foliage will eventually wither with warm weather, but the clumps can be expected to persevere as perennials. The musky fragrance can be overpowering.
Maintenance
In general, about a month after flowering, foliage can be tied back as follows: pull one of the stems from each clump; bend back the other stems (3-4 leaves) toward the ground, and use the pulled leaf to gently tie the bunch off. This allows the bulb to continue absorbing sun and manufacturing food. Once the foliage withers, it can be cut back.
