About This Plant
Sun/part shade. Hyacinth bean is an herbaceous climbing vine with glossy purple leaves, fragrant blossoms and big 3-inch beans.
Maintenance
Grows quickly from seed but dies back completely in cold winters; save a few of the beans for next year just in case. It usually reseeds on its own and returns in late spring.
