About This Plant
A low, sprawling annual that blooms throughout the warm season. The gray-green, fleshy foliage is sticky to the touch with a mottled appearance. The bright red flowers make it a standout in dry summer fields around San Antonio.
Devil’s Bouquet is not readily available in the nursery trade, so it is best to preserve any occurring on site.
Individual plants can withstand light mowing, but seeds must be allowed to ripen between mowing to maintain the population.
