About This Plant
Sun to part shade. A deciduous vine that produces 9 to 12 inch long clusters of purple blooms briefly as it leafs out in mid-spring. Blooms appear on old wood; prune in early- to mid-summer so as not to remove next year’s potential blooms.
Wisteria can be invasive and spreads vigorously, entangling trees and shrubbery.
Maintenance
Very invasive in moist areas and irrigated settings. Expect an effort to train, prune and direct growth and remove unwanted suckers.
